Working together

When working with clients (together) or for clients (I do it), I craft words of meaning and resonance so that our online and print experiences bring us a little closer to the heart - the place where connection, compassion, and community all draw from.

As writing requires time and deliberation to write what we mean, having trust in the creative process opens up the experience in tangible ways. Where I can support you in your writing journey, I'm delighted to do so. 

There are 2 ways to work together:
1) as a client with a one-off project
2) as a retainer client where I write regularly for you

​Types of support

Sometimes clients need only wordsmithing support, where they hand me their work to look over and refine. I smooth it over with proofreading (spelling + grammar), clarifying the content, and ensuring that the tone and style are harmonious throughout. ​

At other times clients are looking for full ghostwriting or copywriting support, where they provide bullet points or notes on their topic, and I expand on these (including research as needed) to write the piece for them.
In all instances, the writing support I provide transmits beyond simple text. We are moving through an energetic passage together. As an empath, I become attuned to your field of energy. This opens up possibilities for heightened awareness, shifts in perspective, and an expanded understanding of how your work fits into the bigger picture.

What to expect

The writing journey is a reciprocating dance. Once we've decided to work together (and have agreed upon an estimated length of time and arranged a deposit), you let me know more details about what it is that you'd like, your goals and direction that you'd like me to take (if you know this). I then bring the pieces together for your first draft. Your feedback starts to further clarify our direction, as I tweak and craft the text from this starting point.

Working together

Incorporating zen philosophies such as less is more in art + design allows for a coherent, clear working style that lets the viewer breath easy amid the noise of the world. Intuitive design provides us with the freedom to touch upon a less complex and more harmonious experience of our reality.

There are 2 ways to work together:
1) as a client with a one-off project
2) as a retainer client where I regularly design for you

Depending on the project, I work on my own or draw upon the beautiful gifts offered by the tiny team I create with to ensure we cover all aspects of your vision. With websites in particular, there are many elements from imagery + logo clarity, to ease of navigation, to backend coding, to designing and beautifying your site so that it sings to your soul and resonates with potential clients.  

​Rates depend upon the project and nature of the relationship, be it with a short-term or long-term project. Standard rates are $63/hr for one-off projects. Website design and set-ups start at $900, and depend on photo sourcing + editing, creation of graphics, number of pages + app integrations.

Types of support

The clients I work with on website design + set up are specifically looking for a site that allows them to take the site over afterwards with zero to minimal additional outsourced support, or any complicated learning curves. This means that the tech platform itself needs to be straightforward, and the process to follow up afterwards, simple. I use drag and drop platforms with this in mind, developing on Shopify, Square, Weebly and Wix - whichever will be the best fit to meet the clients' needs. 

With projects requiring design + layout support, the focus is on light, texture, and feeling. We weave the threads so that the visual storytelling inspires real connectivity and engagement. Clean lines, elegant style, a sense of harmony and spaciousness are the themes that guide.

The graphic design + layout journey is an intuitive and beautifying one. Once we've decided to work together (and have agreed upon an estimated length of time and arranged a deposit), we spend some time in conversation establishing the essential elements, the overall feeling, the audience, the goals. I prompt you with deeper questions to get to the gist of why you do what you do, and what's motivating the movements for the project. Once we have the text + photo/art element collected (I can source this if needed), I then work to bring your vision to life. Your feedback from this first view starts to clarify our direction as I tweak and craft the layout from this starting point.

Working together

Collaborating on projects that invite greater peace, harmony and a warm sense of inclusion within community, deepens the lived experience. 

Stepping into the larger field to create together opens the potential in unique ways for projects that serve a greater number of people. This affords opportunities to understand energy in new ways, most especially in conscious ways to play in the greater field of evolving awareness, together.

There are multiple ways to work together. 
As each project is unique unto itself, the best way to see if I can offer support is to send a note to get the conversation going. We'll see if there's space and if I can offer the right kind of support for what you need. 

There is no standard rate for working together in this way. We'll explore the details and possibilities together and see what's a fit. 

Types of support

Collaborators sometimes need support with event coordination. I attend to details in all areas related to admin, to media in print + online, to gathering sponsorship and participants, to logistical planning and beyond. 9-12 months is the minimum requirement for pre-planning, to ensure that the event is well detailed and promoted, and that the pace nurtures.  
 
Where collaborators are offering courses, workshops, and retreats,  I balance the doing with being, ensuring the smooth running and logistics, contributing to the tone and feel. Sometimes the support looks like the handling of admin tasks both on or offline, or thought + subject clarity and progression for talks, or organizing the flow for day workshops or several-day retreats. At other times it's setting up slideshows for webinars, recording meditations, or preparing newsletter sequencing.  

Sometimes collaborators bring me in as a co-facilitator. Here, I attune to the field of all participants, and carry the thread, bringing in complementary content within the realms of mindfulness, consciousness expansion, and moment-to-moment presence. Practices include meditations, yoga + movement, deepening exercises, guided laughter sessions, nature connection, mindfulness in action, and the invitation to actively engage with presence in deep listening spaces together.  

In all instances, the creative support I offer is more than just the handling of details. We are moving through an energetic passage together, and as an empath, I'm attuned to both the collaborator's and the participants' field of energy. This opens up possibilities for heightened awareness, shifts in perspective, an expansion of what we are creating together in community, and insight and understanding that helps to integrate how this fits into the larger phenomenon we call life.

What to expect

When embarking on a collaborative project, we spend a little bit of time in the early stages assessing if our energies are a good fit for what's ahead. Some projects simply require a few moments of shared time together while we learn and grow as we go. Other projects require several months or 1-2 years+ of synergistically working alongside one another.

Given this, each project is unique unto itself. The best approach that I've found is to spend a little bit of time exploring the ideas of the project together: sensing the intent, focus and ideal outcomes, potentials and opportunities, understanding the challenges to overcome, and doing so with full transparency.
